Rest Stop is a short film that draws inspiration from the director’s childhood memory of a bus trip with her family from New York to Oklahoma. The film’s title represents the director’s personal growth and realization of her identity as she witnesses her mother’s efforts to unite her family.

See You Next Time

See You Next Time is a captivating short documentary that delves into the personal interactions between a Chinese nail technician and her Black client at a Brooklyn nail salon. It offers an insightful glimpse into how two women of color perceive each other in a space unlike anything else in their worlds.
The film’s title draws inspiration from the neon signs ubiquitous in nail salons during the 80s. The neon lighting adds to the film’s intimate and dramatic atmosphere, while the image of a hand holding a rose symbolizes the special bond between nail artists and their clients.

A branded content video, sponsored by Lexus, features the inspiring journey of the first Black woman to have traveled to all the countries in the world. In her latest adventure, she sets out to visit all 50 states in the U.S. To showcase the diverse range of her experiences, we use overlays, split screens, and bold typefaces to capture her eclectic energy and the depth of her character.

In honor of Cleveland Clinic’s 100th anniversary, Courageous collaborated with them to create a documentary series showcasing their dedication to delivering top-notch healthcare worldwide. The visual design for the film graphics was influenced by the centennial logo, emphasizing Cleveland Clinic’s teamwork and collaboration. The logo’s mosaic pattern signifies the many parts that combine to create a cohesive Cleveland Clinic community worldwide.
